Components of the full course

This course is specially designed to suit the needs of candidates fettered by time constraints.

This course covers around 35% of the Full 11 days course. We aim to cover most important topics of the exam in this weekend course and it covers almost 50% of the stations you may get in your actual exam (calculation based on usual distribution of the topics in the exam)

From Monday - Thursday we aim to cover history taking and counselling stations of various specialties, some examination and 5 hours every day for group study. This helps candidates to practice and refine their clinical skills.

Brain Storming Mock Practice spanning approximately 90 stations that are frequently come in the recent exams, new stations and difficult. This session is a product of experience that we have gathered over the time and is primarily designed to replace the conventional mock test. Brain storming mock sessions is equivalent of taking 6 mock tests. Advantages of this sessions are that the teaching is done by most experienced teachers and they will assess your performance and give individual feedback and tips to improve. This will definitely help to fortify your preparation by removing silly fallacies. This course can not be taken on its own.

18 Station mock test with English actors. At the end of the mock test you get a individual written feedback and also general feedback to the group.

PLAB Right is the only residential PLAB training center in UK. Training and accommodation facilities are all under one roof. It provides an excellent atmosphere for group study and you will always find study partners.

GMC has now introduced patient simulator manikin in the exam. This is a manikin that can be programmed to produce many clinical presentations. This manikin responds to medication, O2, and also can be attached to usual monitors to record ECG, It can communicate and even exhale CO2.
This is a 4hr long training session, you will get chance to examine and feel this manikin (This costs extra £20)

You are welcome to repeat the first 7 days of the course for FREE. (You can only participate in Brainstorming mock sessions once however you can observe it again).

We do not expect you to read anything or do any preparation before attending the course. We will cover all topics of PLAB from scratch. If you wish you can read the materials in our online resource library, any clinical examination books, OHCM and OHCS. We strongly recommend that you read the emergency chapter of OHCM (Oxford handbook of clinical medicine.) We would advise NOT to read any PLAB 2 books or manuals available. Most of them contain mistakes and also may give you wrong guidance.

When should I take the course?

Give your self plenty of time. PLAB Right offers an opportunity for you to repeat the course for FREE. (You can only partcipate in brainstorming mock sessions once. You can however observe)
